Having searched the market for software programs aimed at the Meals on Wheels market, gisMOW2 impresses with it’s versatility.
From a small service with one or two PCs which buys in and distributes meals, to a large service with multiple users on a network which delivers hundreds of meals a week and cooks everything in house using menu planning, ingredient restrictions, client allergies, label printing, client invoicing and much more, the program fulfils all requirements.
Compliance to the new DEX requirements from 1st November is currently work in progress, with an update due in the coming weeks.
Now that the program has been moved to an SQL platform and is therefore much more reliable, stable and responsive, and the progressive Management Committee is looking at further development over the next few years I see a strong future for the product. As the modest annual fees include program specific technical support (site environment issues are reasonably excluded), it should appeal to every enlightened Service in Queensland.
